Smart tools can reduce the physical and cognitive effort required to maintain a home. Our staff can help select appropriate tools, set them up, teach safe use, and build them into a routine.
Smart does not mean unattended
- Staff checks that floors are clear of cords, liquids, pet waste, small objects, and other hazards before a robot runs.
- Cleaning products and devices are used according to manufacturer directions and the client’s safety plan.
- Robotic devices provide light maintenance; they do not replace detailed cleaning, sanitation, or authorized staff support.
- Schedules are adjusted for sleep, pets, sensory preferences, visitors, and household routines.
- Cleaning Apps and Prompting Tools
Apps can turn a large chore into a short sequence, provide reminders, and show progress. Staff can help set up the selected option, practice using it, and adjust prompts so they are useful and not overwhelming.
Paid Caregiver- Homemaker
Paid Caregiver Homemaker Program
The Grand Company’s paid-caregiver program may allow an eligible family member or other trusted person to become a paid employee and provide authorized homemaker services. This option can preserve familiar routines, strengthen continuity of care, and recognize the important support that caregivers already provide at home.
Familiar support with professional accountability
A paid caregiver combines personal knowledge of the client with agency training, supervision, documentation, and quality standards. Participation depends on the client’s program, authorization, caregiver eligibility, and applicable state and payer requirements
Homemakers support a paid caregiver may provide
· Routine cleaning needed to maintain a sanitary and safe home
· Laundry, linen changes, dishes, trash removal, and household organization
· Meal planning, food preparation, kitchen cleanup, and food-safety routines
· Shopping, household supplies, and authorized errands
· Prompting, supervision, modeling, and step-by-step assistance with household routines
· Set up and safe use of approved smart cleaning tools, visual schedules, and prompting apps
· Documentation of completed services, progress, changes, and concerns
· Benefits for the client and family
· Support from someone who understands the client’s communication style, preferences, culture, and routines
· More consistent scheduling and fewer transitions between unfamiliar caregivers
